The Beta Version is our rendition of travel tips and ideas for prospective adventurers to the areas we have been. In other words, what we wished we had found in a blog before we went there and what we want to make sure we remember the next time we go. Email us if you want to share some beta. Tally-ho!
Lodging: On a busy summer weekend, most campsites can be completely booked up. Our friends used Air B&B and there were a number of options within the $50 range and a 30-minute drive to the crags.
We opted for the Klahanie Campground because the owners promised that, although they were full, they wouldn’t turn us away. Price was about $30 per night and they took credit cards. The showers were $3 for 6 minutes, but the facilities were pretty new and the water was hot.
Internet Access: The Squamish Public Library provides free and reliable internet access.
Showers: The Squamish Community Center apparently has good showers and a hot tub for the grand price of $3.50. We didn’t hear about this until after we left, but will be getting in on that deal next time.
